Continued Production Facility Expansion

On October 26, the first of two ball mills was successfully installed, marking a significant milestone in the optimization of sizing for 40 x 140 ultra-low iron glass sand. The completion of the structure was accompanied by the installation of essential components such as tanks, pumps, classifiers, and piping.

Subsequently, on December 7, the second mill was installed, dedicated to further size reduction. Plans for early 2024 include the installation of the building structure and equipment, featuring two high efficiency air classifiers.

Initially, the low iron and ultra-low iron quartz extracted will cater to the chemical and specialty glass industries. Concurrently, ongoing Research & Development initiatives at Chesapeake Minerals and York Building Products are committed to identifying the highest and best use of our mined materials.

Kudos to our construction and engineering teams for a seamless and well-executed installation!
